The Color-Coded Bible and Study System began with the simple idea of color-coding a digital King James Bible for Dan's personal use.
"Dad got me started color-coding my Bible when I was just a child. Back then we had to use colored pencils.
That simple idea has now turned into an extensive library of color-coded writings, from ancient as well as modern sources!"

The side-by-side, verse-by-verse, comparison study of the King James Bible
and several other English translations and versions.
Sterling Ministries has already completed a side-by-side (sbs), verse-by-verse (vbv) comparison study of the text of the King James Bible with that of the Greek Septuagint and the Torah, Neviim, and Ketuvim (the Hebrew Bible). Recently a similar study was begun of the text of the King James Bible with that of the Amplified Bible, the NIV, the Revised Version, the Revised Standard Version, the American Version, the Syriac Peshito, the Masoretic text, the Bishops Bible, the Geneva Bible, and the Douay Rheims Bible. In June 2010 the Tyndale Bible, the Matthews Bible, and the Wycliffe New Testament were added to that study. Some of the results of these studies are being published at my Examiner.com site: Evangelical Examiner Knoxville: http://www.examiner.com/x-16991-Knoxville-Evangelical-Examiner.

The lay school
Sterling Ministries operates The lay school which provides an opportunity for bi-vocational pastors, other church leaders, and laypeople to study the Bible as well as other topics and areas of study related to Bible through a carefully planned curriculum. Students who successfully complete the basic program of study will be awarded the Diploma in Biblical Studies. Advanced diplomas can be earned as well. The curriculum for the Diploma In Biblical Studies takes the student through the Bible, book by book. The curriculums for the advanced diplomas proceed through a series of studies of related Christian writings such as the Apocrypha, the Pseudepigrapha, the Lost Books of the Bible, and the Forgotten Books of Eden; some of the writings of the early church fathers; the works of Flavius Josephus; the sacred writings of the major world religions; some of the writings of mysticism; some of the other writings of the Jews; and an in-depth comparison study of the Bible, especially the King James Version, with the other translations and versions of the sbs, vbv, comparison study above.
